Pennsylvania Sea Grant is looking to fill four paid summer internship opportunities for undergraduate students seeking to gain experience in communications, education, outreach, and research. 

The internship will help prepare undergraduate students for graduate school and careers in science, policy, management, and outreach focused on oceans, Great Lakes, and watersheds. 

The internship includes the following programs: Communications - Digital Storyteller, Education - Environmental Literacy & Workforce Development, Outreach - Aquatic Invasive Species Prevention, and Research - Natural History Museum at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. 

The internships would begin on or after June 9, 2025. Interviews will be begin no earlier than January 21, 2025 and will continue until the positions are filled. 

Selected interns will be paid $17 per hour and be expected to work up to 40 hours per week for 8-9 weeks, from June through August. 

According to Pa. Sea Grant, interns should be able to work independently, with guidance from their supervisor. Interns should be located in Pennsylvania, with the ability to travel to attend events and meetings in person. 

The internship opportunity is limited to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a U.S. institution of higher education.
