Before the first flakes fell this winter, a Millcreek Twp. supervisor warned the roads there might not be plowed. There were no mechanics to fix the snowplows.

The township was able to plow the roads and has hired a mechanic to work on the plows.

The township has kept plows running despite the lack of manpower.

“We also have a mechanic on staff [who] has come back from the streets department role and has filled-in on a temporary basis,” said supervisor Dan Ouellet.

“We also have outsourced some of the mechanic duties.”

The new mechanic starts this month.
