Banks are a place that most every family uses, whether it is for future planning or current funds and finances.

In this week's Giving You the Business Report, sponsored by the Erie Regional Chamber and Growth Partnership, Erie News Now is showcasing how one local banking institution has moved with trends over time.

When you think of going to a bank, this is the scene that may play out in your mind: in-person interaction, and while Northwest Savings Bank prides itself on that, there are also drive-up options for banking, and mobile banking, too.

Anita Kuchinski has spent nearly a decade working for Northwest, a place that many people might refer to as Northwest Savings Bank.

And with additions over the years for customers, there have also been physical updates.

Erie County District Manager Kregg Heenan joined the Northwest team just a few years ago, but has been in the industry for nearly two decades.

He knows that the other half of banking is community involvement.

Northwest leaders make it a priority to have a footprint in the region.

They have served as sponsors for events such as CelebrateErie, the popular annual summertime event in the city.

Plus, having a bank branch serve as a drop-off location for the Holiday Food Drive, benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank and families across Northwest Pennsylvania.

Northwest, a recognizable name for people doing daily banking, needing a loan, or just plain financial advice.
