Erie News Now Sunrise is excited for another year of How Cool Is Your School. The theme for this year’s contest is helping others.

Eighteen schools submitted entries, and the top four winning schools are:

  • Cathedral Prep and Mother Teresa Academy (nonprofit: Shriners Children's Erie)
  • Union City Elementary (nonprofit: United Way of Erie County)
  • Northwestern High School (nonprofit: Special Olympics)
  • McKean Elementary (nonprofit: General McLane Foundation)

The four winning schools will receive $250 from the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE), $250 from New Motors Subaru and New Motors Volkswagen and host Erie News Now Sunrise for a live broadcast.

All four winning videos will also be submitted into an online voting contest to win a $5,000 TV ad campaign for the non-profit charity of their choice.

Voting starts Nov. 1 and ends Nov. 30. You can vote once per day.

Here are the prizes:

  • First place: $5,000 TV ad campaign for a nonprofit of choice, iPad and class pizza party
  • Second place: iPad and class pizza party
  • Third place: Class pizza party
  • Fourth place: Class pizza party
