A man was stabbed to death Saturday morning in downtown Erie, and a woman now faces murder charges.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. at the Boston Store Apartments.
Janice Rowry, 59, stabbed Jacob Carr, 42, in the heart with a kitchen knife, according to the criminal complaint. The two lived together in the apartment.
Rowry allegedly told police officers that Carr was drunk and wouldn't stay out of her room.
She went to the kitchen to make food, he followed and hit her in the face, so she cut him with the knife then called 911.
Carr was pronounced dead at the scene, and police found the knife in the sink.
Rowry was arraigned before Judge Thomas Carney is being held without bond.
