Quaker Steak & Lube Reopening at New Location on Upper Peach Street
Quaker Steak & Lube is reopening in Erie, Friday, January 27th, but in a different location from where it was when it closed last fall. The new location will replace Hooch & Blotto's and will be attached to Splash Lagoon. The 8-lane Duckpin Bowling lounge will remain, making this the first Quaker Steak & Lube in the country to have one.
Nick Scott Sr., President of Scott Enterprises, says this move will benefit customers of both Quaker Steak & Lube and Splash Lagoon. "This is an added enticement for people to come and enjoy Splash Lagoon because then they have the ability to walk right into the restaurant," Scott Sr. said.
Scott Sr. said that the restaurant will also keep it's traditional American style. "It certainly reflects the American idea of NASCAR, the tracks, the race cars. It reflects how much Americans love cars," he said.
He also said that inflation could some increases on the menu but "we've kept them to a minimum as far as menu prices go," he said.
"It's just a fact of life and something you have to deal with," he said.
