Marcy Suzette Nellis

Police have arrested a suspect in the homicide and rape of an Oil City woman, according to the Venango County district attorney.

David Bosley, 59, of Oil City, was taken into custody Thursday morning on charges including homicide, rape, aggravated indecent assault, kidnapping and abuse of a corpse.

He is accused of killing Marcy Suzette Nellis whose body was found March 27 along a bike path. She had been reported missing the previous day.

An autopsy revealed Nellis died after being strangled, and she had been sexually assaulted.

Police said Bosley became an immediate person of interest, and a DNA match from a rape kit linked Bosley to the crime, leading to Thursday's arrest.
