Erie News Now is following the Mercyhurst Women's Hockey team as they compete in Sweden. 

Our cameras are there to catch all the action, including Tuesday's game against the Swedish National Team.

That one got underway about noon our time, and despite a tough fight from the Lakers, they lost this one 2-1 in a shootout.

The team will also play tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday before heading home.

We caught up with players who say they're enjoying the experience, even if there is a bit of a language barrier.

"Someone walked into the elevator and was talking to me in Swedish, and I was like, "Going up." I didn't know what to say. They were talking in Spanish, and I was like, "Sorry, I don't understand it." Then they didn't understand English," said Jade Masionneuve, Laker. "So, it was just a bunch of mumbling."
