Erie's Larry Fabrizi Dog Park held a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil the new Rainbow Bridge. The landmark will help pet owners remember their four legged friends who have passed away.

City officials, along with representatives from Lowes gathered to unveil the Rainbow Bridge.

It's a community service project by Lowes, they donated all the supplies.

For anyone who doesn't know, a Rainbow Bridge is a mythical bridge that connects Heaven and Earth. It's said to be a place where pet owners reunite with their pets in the after life.

The project was started in October, and built by Kuntz Construction and officials from the Public Works Department.

Representative from Lowes were also on hand to hand out dog toys to those in the park.

The Larry Fabrizi Park is part of McClelland Park in East Erie.
