Hundreds of people dressed up and gathered for the 60th annual Barber Christmas Ball on Saturday night.

The Bayfront Convention Center was glittering with the spirit of the season.

The theme was a Diamond Christmas.

This event is a holiday tradition with music, food and dancing that all supports the mission and work of the Barber National Institute.

It all began with Dr. Gertrude Barber who wanted to show respect and dignity for all children and adults who had special learning challenges and needs. Her nephew, Patrick Barber, Senior Vice President and his wife, Courtney served as this year's chair couple.

A long list of sponsors helped to make the Barber Ball possible.  The ball was sold out.
