With Christmas around the corner, it's essential to ensure your packages are shipped on time. Rachel Artise, owner of the UPS Store in Yorktown and Harborcreek, emphasized the importance of shipping deadlines to avoid

delays during the holiday rush.

Rachel Artise said, "Today marks the official last day you can ship something and get it to California within that five-day time frame in a normal shipment period."

According to Amazon, some packages are experiencing delays closer to the holidays and peak shopping season. Rachel shares that many people are shopping locally. "If you are shopping locally and shipping it out, get it to us as soon as possible to avoid paying extra to expedite it. If you don't have a box, don't worry about finding one. You can bring your items here, and we can pack it for you," Rachel Artise said.

As of now, standard shipping is guaranteed to arrive in time for Christmas. However, key deadlines are approaching quickly, with December 20th being the last day for UPS 2nd Day Air service and December 23rd being the last day for UPS Next Day Air services.

"Honestly, the sooner, the better. With the weather we've been having lately, we just don't know on a day-to-day basis what we'll be dealing with, so the sooner you can get it out, the better," Rachel Artise said.
