Young children will have a special gift under their tree this year thanks to the talents and generosity of Erie High students.

Ninth through twelfth graders in the Advanced Manufacturing class came up with an idea to build toy trucks for children as Christmas gifts.

Contractor Sales and Supplies donated the materials.

The students made the toy trucks from scratch including the milling of materials, the drilling, and the operation of the machines.

Their teacher dropped them off to the Salvation Army on Tuesday and was proud of the initiative that his students took with this project.

The students built 30 trucks to give as Christmas gifts.
