The City of Erie Police Department is continuing to investigate after two teens were shot on Liberty Street Tuesday night. 

The shooting resulted in the death of one of the teens. 

It was reported at W. 31st and Liberty St. around 4 p.m.

Neighbors said they heard multiple gunshots.

Erie County Coroner Lyle Cook confirmed with Erie News Now, that a 17 year old male was shot at the corner of West 31st and Liberty Streets. He was pronounced dead at 4:47 p.m.

Police say the shooting was a drive by, and that it was a targeted shooting. 

The teenagers were driven to UPMC Hamot by a private vehicle. One was pronounced dead at the hospital, while the other 17 year old is expected to survive. The other teen was shot in the face.
