The City of Erie's Department of Public Works will delay trash and recycling pickup by one day starting on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. 

For example: if your scheduled collection day is Tuesday, December 24, then your trash/recycling will be picked up on Wednesday, December 25, etc. 

The one-day delay will also be in place starting on New Year's Eve. Meaning if your regular pickup would be Tuesday, December 31, then your pickup would be Wednesday, January 1, and so on. 

Normal pickup will resume the week of January 5. 

Additionally, the City says residents may place their Christmas trees curbside on their regular collection nights beginning Wednesday, December 25 through Thursday, January 16.
