Children got a chance to celebrate Kwanzaa on Saturday morning at the ExpERIEnce Children's Museum.

Saturday is the third day of celebration for the African American culture.

Erie's Black Wall Street and the ExpERIEnce Children's Museum on French Street teamed up for the morning where kids could learn about Ujima, the Kwanzaa principle of collective work and responsibility.

This principle also encourages communities to unite and collaborate for the common good.

There were kid friendly activities, games and crafts that little ones could enjoy while learning about the African American culture. There were also activities that children could bring home too,

This event was included with admission to the museum.

Kwanzaa is celebrated over the course of a week. It concludes on January 1.
