Dr. Fred Hoffman, national security expert from Mercyhurst University, talked about the three-phase agreement between Israel and Hamas that would see hostages taken by Hamas being freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

If an agreement is completed -- all remaining hostages are supposed to be released in phase two.

President Biden said the deal is what he laid out this past May.

With the agreement happening just five days before a new administration takes over, Hoffman said both outgoing and incoming presidents were unified in getting a deal down.
